While a discovery of blueprints for an ancient civilization's super weapon brings hope to what seems to be a hopeless war, the galactic community is separated in chaos. As the construction of the weapon proceeds, Commander Jane Shepard is given command of the Alliance star-ship Normandy and ordered to convince the galactic civilizations to join the war effort as a united force. After securing the cooperation of the Turian, Krogan and Salarian military forces, Shepard's attention is shifted to the largest fleet in the galaxy: the Quarian Migrant Fleet, busy in a war to retake their home-world from their own creation, the Geth. Reunited with Tali'Zorah, an old friend now serving as an admiral on the fleet, the crew of the Normandy is happy to help bring an end to the war. But the ship's unshackled AI can't help but notice something curious about the behavior of her former Quarian associate. And now she gets the opportunity to respond to it. With her body.
